Mr. Hall serves as an arbitrator, mediator and expert witness with respect to insurance and reinsurance disputes as well as a consultant to the insurance  and reinsurance industry.

Prior to opening a solo practice in 1998, Mr. Hall was a partner for three years in the Insurance Practice Group of DLA Piper in its Washington D.C. office.  Prior to that, he spent 19 years in senior in-house positions with several insurance and reinsurance companies where he obtained extensive business and legal expertise in primary insurance, excess and surplus lines, reinsurance, agents, brokers and intermediaries.  His practice included a wide variety of commercial and regulatory matters in the insurance and reinsurance field.  Mr. Hall has testified before the U.S. House of Representatives and several state legislatures.

Mr. Hall's background has qualified him to serve as an arbitration panelist for numerous reinsurance arbitrations, which traditionally require experience as an executive officer of an insurer and reinsurer, and he has expanded his practice to other forms of insurance arbitrations and mediation. Mr. Hall has formal training in arbitration and is certified as an arbitrator and umpire by ARIAS - US which is the United States affiliate of an international arbitration association.  In addition, he has formal training in mediation from the Pepperdine School of Law's prestigious Institute for Dispute Resolution.

Mr. Hall has acted as an expert witness before arbitration panels as well as state and federal courts. He has testified on technical issues as well as custom and practice and the broad precepts upon which the insurance industry is based. The subject matters of his expert testimony have included:
